George Gehl - Corporate Cruise Consultants

George Gehl

Vice President of Sales

In 1976, the beginning of the leisure cruise industry as we know it, Mr. Gehl recognized the value to his corporate clients of planning their meetings and incentives at sea rather than on land. As the cruise lines expanded to become the fastest growing segment of the travel industry, Mr. Gehl transitioned his retail and wholesale travel businesses to become one of the few industry leaders sourcing and operating events at sea with a primary focus on corporate and association clients.  George was instrumental in developing a cruise channel for Roxworld TV, he was featured in a variety of MICE industry publications and consulted in the design of the first-ever cruise line (Vision Quest) created specifically for meetings and conferences at sea. His company sourced and operated events at sea including river cruises around the world for hundreds of major corporations and associations.

As an all-inclusive venue, a cruise ship offers meeting space, audiovisual equipment, food and beverage and even the entertainment complementary. With nightly stage productions and casinos, ideal weather and multiple exotic ports of call, the first groups to transition their programs to sea were clients who historically traveled to Las Vegas. Today Corporate Cruise Consultants has over 40 years of expertise and resources as well as preferred cruise line agreements that provide significant budget and concession advantages when sourcing, negotiating and operating every event from 8 staterooms to full ship charters.
